The announcement came at the virtual IDC DX Summit and Awards 2020 ceremony held on IDC’s new integrated content hub, IDC Arena on 12 October 2020.

International Data Corporation (IDC) is the premier global provider of market intelligence and advisory services that examines consumer markets by devices, applications, networks, and services to provide complete solutions for succeeding in these expanding markets.

Dato’ Lee received the DX CEO award from IDC in recognition of his bold vision and dynamic leadership in using technology and introducing digitalisation across the whole IOI Group. Embracing technology and digitalisation as a business enabler and transformational tool, he drove the implementation of IOI’s winning project - the ONE IOI Integrated Platform (ONE IOI).

Under Dato’ Lee’s leadership, IOI has implemented the SAP platform and the digital plantation monitoring system to modernise its primary agriculture business. The project involved 107 business units across 170,000 hectares of land and over 2,000 users. According to Dato’ Lee, “At IOI, having completed this programme, we have become more resilient and ready to transform to the next stage of efficiency and innovativeness. The future of digital is now."
