IOI Corporation Berhad (IOI) proudly walked away with three prestigious accolades at The Edge Billion Ringgit Club (BRC) and Corporate Awards 2023 on Monday, 23 October 2023. We won the coveted Best Corporate Responsibility (CR) Initiatives award among Big Cap Companies (RM10 billion to RM40 billion market capitalisation), as well as two Highest Growth in Profit After Tax Over Three Years awards in both Big Cap Companies and Plantation sectors.
These awards are an acknowledgement to our Group-wide digitalisation programmes to uplift our plantation workforce, philanthropic initiatives spearheaded by IOI Foundation (formerly known as Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng) to empower communities and strategic partnerships in conservation projects to protect nature. They are also attributed to our all-time high net profit of RM1.73 billion during our 2022 financial year (FY2022) and resilient profit growth from FY2019 to FY2022 despite the Covid-19 pandemic. We are deeply honoured that these achievements reflect our dedication to creating ethical values and sustainable returns for all our stakeholders.

This year, IOI was among 41 companies receiving 56 awards in total. We are also one of the 181 elite BRC members with a combined market cap of 90.4% or RM1.49 trillion on Bursa Malaysia as at end-March 2023 that have collectively made about RM145 billion and contributed a major chunk of RM42 billion in taxes to the nation in 2022.
