As part of the review process, Tenaganita visited three of IOI’s estates, namely Regent Estate, Gomali Estate and Paya Lang Estate, during December 2015 and January 2016.

There were some positive improvements in the workers’ welfare and benefits, particularly in Regent Estate; and the estate has taken active steps to regularly review their internal processes and communications channels with their staff and workers.

During the visit, Tenaganita also identified some issues and gaps such as enhancing communication with the new recruits and promoting more social activities. IOI is considering implementation of the appropriate measures in line with our commitment for continuous improvement.

The next visit by Tenaganita to other estates in Peninsular Malaysia will take place in May and June 2016.
