The soursop’s (annona muricata) Yellow Variety is grown in Sagil Estate for its oval-shaped edible fruit with a cream-coloured inner pulp that separates easily into juicy segments that contain tiny, black seeds. With a delicious flavour that is reminiscent of mango, coconut and pineapple, soursops can be eaten fresh or strained to make custards, ice-creams and drinks. Harvested throughout the year, the soursops are planted in 2020. The fruits are picked when their dark green colour fades to yellowish green; and they take 4 to 5 days to ripen.
